Holy cow! Do we have an amazing assortment of good times in store for the wee folk? We do indeed.
That's absolutely right. Bring all your kids, scamps, hobbits, whippersnappers, bundles of joy, goblins, shorties, chillunz, children, tots, tods, tweens, twerps, and youngsters along with you to Con on the Cob. We have an entire schedule of programs just for them.
Join master kid-wrangler Thaddeus Papke and his loyal staff of spiritual mediums, as they lead the young ones on an honest-to-goodness, authentic, make-believe ghost hunting expedition!!!!!!! There'll be games, crafts, parties, movies, a magic show, and all sorts of special events just for the wee folk.

Children of the Cob Child Care Policy: Con on the Cob is not a licensed childcare facility. You are responsible for your children and their actions and well-being. Children should be accompanied and supervised by a parent or designated guardian.

Scheduled Activites
A really cool game we haven't invented yet: This is the contest that has kids going around the con and collecting cool things.
Make a Monster Contest: Using any medium available (including Legos) make the best monster you can. Different categories for recreating a classic monster and for original monster creation.
Games: There will be an in-room library of kids games for varying ages.
Boardgame Making - using basic crafting supplies kids can make their own Freakin' Haunted boardgame (or other game) to take home and play with their family.
Costume Making - chance to prep for Saturday's masquerade with supplies and ideas generally geared towards monster or ghost hunter custumes.
Children of the Cob Party - Magic, pizza, pinatas and more fun than you can stuff in a Wal-mart's worth of tube socks.
Time: Saturday 11am-1pm
Living Forgotten Realms - LFR for the youngsters. A great introduction to role-playing games. Click here to sign up.

The Masquerade Party - That's right! This year Halloween is in October. Slap on your costume, gather your chums, pick up your trick and/or treating bag, and commence to masquerading. There'll be games, trick or treating, a costume parade, a costume contest and all sorts of other Halloweenular activities. It's for two or more players ages tadpole to elder gawd.
Costume Check-in: Saturday 4pm-4:45pm in the Kid's Room
Trick or Treat: Saturday 5pm starting in the Kid's Room
Party & Costume Contest: Saturday 6pm-8pm in the Art Show Demo area
